IDENTIFY!    IDENTIFY!    IDENTIFY!    IDENTIFY! Prevention is the best remedy.  Be sure your companion animal always wears identification.  Fence your yard.  Keep cats inside. Check doors, windows and screens to be certain they are secure. If your pet is lost, immediately notify your local police and animal control officer. Visit shelters with pictures of your pet. Post signs with your pet’s picture. Time is essential. Do not delay. If you find an animal, notify local police and animal control. If you can, keep the animal until its owner can be located.
