NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT SEALED PROPOSALS ADDRESSED TO STEPHEN O’CONNOR, COUNTY ADMINISTRATOR OF THE BOARD, WILL BE RECEIVED UP TO 2:00 P.M. PREVAILING TIME, ON Wednesday, January 28, 2009, AT WHICH TIME THEY WILL BE PUBLICLY OPENED AND READ IN THE WILLIAM E. STURM, JR. ADMINISTRATION BUILDING, 4 MOORE ROAD, CREST HAVEN COMPLEX, CAPE MAY COURT HOUSE, NEW JERSEY, FOR THE FOLLOWING:
“2009 TESTING OF BITUMINOUS MATERIALS FOR VARIOUS COUNTY
CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS, CAPE MAY COUNTY, NJ”
PROPOSAL FORMS, INSTRUCTIONS TO BIDDERS, SPECIFICATIONS AND OTHER BIDDING DOCUMENTS MAY BE OBTAINED AT THE OFFICE OF THE COUNTY ENGINEER, DALE M. FOSTER, (609) 465-1035, DURING NORMAL OFFICE HOURS AT THE ABOVE ADDRESS.
THE BOARD RESERVES THE RIGHT TO REJECT ANY OR ALL PROPOSALS IN WHOLE OR IN PART AND TO WAIVE SUCH INFORMALITIES AS MAY BE PERMITTED BY LAW.
BIDDERS ARE REQUIRED TO COMPLY WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF N.J.S.A 10:5-31 ET.SEQ. AND N.J.A.C. 17:27: 27.
BIDS MUST BE MADE ON STANDARD PROPOSAL FORM IN THE MANNER DESIGNATED THEREIN AND REQUIRED BY THE SPECIFICATIONS, MUST BE ENCLOSED IN SEALED ENVELOPES BEARING THE NAME AND ADDRESS OF THE BIDDER AND MARKED “2009 TESTING OF BITUMINOUS MATERIALS FOR VARIOUS COUNTY CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS, CAPE MAY COUNTY, NJ” ON THE OUTSIDE, ADDRESSED TO STEPHEN O’CONNOR, COUNTY ADMINISTRATOR OF THE BOARD, ADMINISTRATION BUILDING, 4 MOORE ROAD, CREST HAVEN COMPLEX, CAPE MAY COURT HOUSE, NEW JERSEY 08210 AND BE DELIVERED AT THE PLACE ON OR BEFORE THE HOUR NAMED ABOVE.

ADDENDUM NO. 1
Addendum No. 1 has been issued to the Contract Documents for the referenced project. The revision listed shall be made to the Contract Documents issued for the receipt of bids. This addendum shall become part of the total contract.
This Addendum does not change the time, date nor place for receipt of bids.
The Bidder shall acknowledge receipt of this Addendum by signing and returning the attached acknowledgement sheet with the Bidder’s Proposal.
The County regrets any inconvenience that this Addendum causes.
The revisions listed below shall become part of the contract, due consideration to these revisions shall be made by the Contractor in preparing their bid for the project. The Contractor shall acknowledge receipt of this Addendum by signing and returning the attached sheet with the Contractor’s Proposal. Proposals not including a signed copy of the attached sheet will not be considered.
THE FOLLOWING CHANGES SHALL BE MADE TO THE PROPOSAL:
Page P1 of 2: The last paragraph on this page is deleted. No bid guaranty is required for this bid.
New proposal page, Pages P-1R of 2, is attached and shall be substituted for the original page as found in the Contract Documents.

Acknowledgement is hereby made of Addendum No. 1, issued on January 21, 2009, received since the issuance of the Contract Documents for 2009 Testing of Bituminous Materials for Various County Construction Projects, Cape May County, NJ. The Contractor shall include this signed sheet with his bid package.
