Kevin L. Thomas is the County Health Officer/Public Health Coordinator. He is responsible for 16 municipalities in Cape May County in promoting a healthy community. The Health Department’s objective is to protect and improve the health of all Cape May County residents and visitors.  This means providing you and your family with protection from the basic threats to public health such as communicable disease outbreaks, toxic exposures, and preventable injury, as well as working to prevent chronic diseases such as heart disease, cancer, and diabetes.
 

Because every community has its own specific needs, we are working in partnership with various agencies and concerned citizens to develop new ways to deliver effective programs and health education messages.
